Asian Waterbird Census

The Asian Waterbird Census (AWC) is an annual event held since 1987 every January to monitor waterbirds. Every year, thousands of birders from across the country join in and contribute to the larger cause of waterbird monitoring. As a part of the Internaional Waterbird Census, the AWC contributes to conservation assessments of birds and wetland habitats of our region.
