Bengaluru Bird Day is an exciting event annually organised by the groups Bangalore Birds, EcoEdu and The Bird Podcast. The event this year consists of talks on nature journaling, wildlife rescues, Sarus Cranes and the North Indian farmlands along with a quiz on birds. Started in 2014, Bengaluru Bird Day is celebrated around the first week of October to commemorate Dr. Joseph George, the pioneer of the group birdwatching movement in Bengaluru.
