Vishaka George talks to Micah Rai, a field assistant from the IISc research team working at Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, which is studying the effects of climate change on birds. The presence of locals in the team has helped strengthen the resolve to find ways to combat climate change. Since a decade, the locals and scientists have been trying to understand the effects of habitat degradation and rising temperatures on the birds of Himalayas.
