ATREE is hosting a talk in its Intersectionality Series with Ishika Ramakrishna, a Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Wildlife Studies. She will discuss the relationships between the people of Barekuri, Assam, and the endangered Western Hoolock Gibbon, highlighting how land-use changes have isolated these gibbons. Her research examines emotional geographies and gibbon experiences while revealing nonhuman agency through local perspectives, along with guided activities to engage with a more-than-human perspective. Register to tune in for this wonderful and insightful talk!
