7 Weaves Research Foundation is conducting a bird count at Deepor Beel, a Ramsar Site and an Important Bird Area, in Guwahati to carry out a comparative diversity study of the birds in the lake during autumn. Autumn is the time to look at the arriving winter migrants and learn more about them. Deepor Beel, with an area of 40 km², is one of the most important wetlands of Guwahati with more than 300 species of birds.
