The Spot-winged Starling is a common species of starling found in broadleaf forests and well-wooded areas of Inter-State Chandigarh Region (ISCR). A gregarious species like most starlings, they can be seen in small groups feeding on nectar from blossoms of the Indian Silk cotton tree. The bird breeds in northern India and western Nepal from April to June and moves towards Northeast India during the winter.
