Bunting Count 2023

Bunting Count is a citizen science initiative organized by the Japan Bird Research Association and the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society in partnership with groups and organisations in East, Southeast, and South Asia, including Bird Count India to document buntings. Buntings are small migratory passerine birds almost the size of a sparrow that inhabit open habitats across Asia. The count will mainly target Yellow-breasted Bunting, Chestnut Bunting, Black-faced Bunting, Little Bunting & Chestnut-eared Bunting in India. Birders, keep an eye out for buntings around you and participate in this count!!
