A Long-eared Owl was spotted for the first time in southern India. The bird was spotted by birder N. Kannan in Kotagiri, in the Nilgiris district in Tamil Nadu. This bizzare but not impossible sighting has been suspected due to the changing climate patterns which causes several birds to change migration flyways.
