Mysore Bird Atlas was the pioneering effort to initiate a bird atlas in India. A bird atlas provides information by making use of maps on distribution, abundance, seasonal occurrence and long-term change. The data was collected for 3 years from 2014 to 2016. 192 bird species were recorded across the three years of the Atlas. The prominent findings of the survey were published in the journal Indian BIRDS.
