A Great Thick-knee was spotted at Gurugram after a long gap of 20 years. The bird was spotted at Chandu Budhera water treatment plant area in Haryana, adjoining the Najafgarh lake on 18th of August 2023 by birders Gautam Kashyap, Shivam Agarwal, and Mohit Mehta. The Great Thick-knee was last reported from Delhi-NCR in 2004, and is a rarity for the region. Read on to know more about the sighting.
