7 Weaves Research Foundation is conducting a Winter Bird Festival at Deepor Beel, a Ramsar Site and an Important Bird Area in Guwahati to carry out a comparative diversity study of the birds in the lake during winter. Deepor Beel, with an area of 40 km², is one of the most important wetlands of Guwahati with more than 300 species of birds. They will also be having series of discussions with experts covering topics such as Wetland Ecology and Conservation, Climate Change, Community Conservation, and Biodiversity focused on Deepor Beel and the Indo-Burma Regions.
