World Rainforest Day: गोवा, पश्चिमी घाट और वन्य जीवन

While the beaches of Goa attract more visitors, the forests of the state in the Northern part are an important lifeline too. The artice tlks about the forests, which are a habitat for different species of birds like Hornbills, Flame-throated Bulbul, Blue-eared Kingfisher and the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher. Goa has almost 500 species of birds out of which 16 are endemic. The Western Ghats protect and shelter these species.The flourishing forests by these rivers help the local fauna and the people living here in many ways.
