This online 12-week course in Basic Ornithology by NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is designed for undergraduates and post-graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in ornithology research. The course is AICTE certified, and students as well as faculty can take it for academic credit. The course is offered every year in January. It is free to attend, but a fee is charged to take the final exam, which is required for certification.
